The Christmas tour will come on the heels of a busy fall for Smith with tour commitments across the United States, Brazil, Korea, The Ukraine and Japan. The acclaimed singer, songwriter and musician is currently promoting his role in 90 MINUTES IN HEAVEN. Alongside his son Tyler, Smith created the score for the motion picture. Based on Don Piper's New York Times bestseller (7 million books sold--now also available in a movie edition), 90 MINUTES IN HEAVEN, Giving Films' first project, is the amazing and true story of Piper's death in an auto accident, his experience of heaven and his return to severe physical, emotional and spiritual recovery. Smith joined fellow actors Hayden Christensen (STAR WARS, JUMPER), Kate Bosworth (BLUE CRUSH, SUPERMAN RETURNS), E! News host Jason Kennedy and other cast members along with the real Piper family - Don, Eva, Nicole, Chris and Joe - at the film's world premiere at the historic FOX Theatre in Atlanta on Sept. 1. Directed by the famed Michael Polish and distributed by Samuel Goldwyn Films, 90 MINUTES IN HEAVEN will open in theaters on Sept. 11.
